How to Determine the Required Capacity of a Powder Coating Line

The required capacity should be calculated from the actual production target rather than from the equipment size alone. Start with the number of workpieces that need to be coated per day, available working hours, workpiece dimensions, weight, and loading method.

For example, two factories with the same daily output may require different line configurations if one operates for one shift and the other operates for two shifts. Large workpieces may also require greater hanger spacing and longer curing time, which can affect the overall line configuration.

The design should therefore consider production flow, conveyor loading, spraying capacity, curing requirements, and loading and unloading efficiency together.
