Project Background

Shuangcai Sports is located in Dingzhou, Hebei, China, and produces sports and fitness equipment. The products involved in this project include metal tubes, frames, brackets, and welded structures.

These workpieces vary in size, weight, and geometry. The coating process therefore needed to accommodate different products while maintaining a continuous production flow.

ZHYAO planned the powder coating line around the customer's workpieces, coating requirements, production flow, and available factory space.

Customer Requirements

ZHYAO Solution

The coating line was configured as a continuous process:

Loading → Pretreatment → Drying → Electrostatic Powder Spraying → Powder Recovery → Curing → Cooling → Unloading

The equipment configuration and line layout were selected according to the customer's actual products and production conditions.

Powder Coating Process

The workpieces first pass through pretreatment and drying before entering the electrostatic powder spraying section. After spraying, they enter the curing oven and are then cooled before unloading.

The main coating stages are connected through the conveyor system, creating a continuous workflow from surface preparation to finished coating.

Workpiece Size and Shape

The products include tubular parts, frames, brackets, and welded structures with different dimensions and weights.

The conveyor, hanger arrangement, spray booth, and curing area were therefore considered according to the actual workpiece range.

Coating Coverage Requirements

Some sports equipment has tubular structures, corners, and welded joints that require suitable spray access.

The spraying arrangement was designed around the workpiece geometry, including hanger position and spray gun arrangement, so that the required coating surfaces can be reached during spraying.

Conveyor Arrangement

The conveyor connects the different coating sections and moves the workpieces continuously through the line.

Hanger spacing and loading positions were considered according to workpiece dimensions and weight, while sufficient clearance was maintained for transportation and spraying.

Factory Layout

The production line was arranged according to the customer's existing factory space.

Equipment positioning, conveyor routing, loading and unloading areas, operator access, and maintenance space were considered together to create a practical production flow.

The completed powder coating line provides Shuangcai Sports with a continuous coating process for its metal sports and fitness equipment.
